Short Bio:

Giannis Nikolentzos is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the University of Peloponnese, in the subjects of artificial intelligence and machine learning. He received his diploma from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Patras in 2011, the MSc degree in artificial intelligence from the University of Southampton in 2013, and his PhD degree from the Department of Informatics of the Athens University of Economics and Business in 2017. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Ecole Polytechnique from 2018 to 2019 and from 2022 to 2023, and at the Athens University of Economics and Business from 2020 to 2021 where he was funded by the Greek State Scholarships Foundation. He has published over 40 papers in international scientific journals and conferences. He has also participated in several international and national research projects, as well as industry-funded projects. His research interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learning for graph-structured data as well as applications in the fields of bioinformatics and chemoinformatics.
